HALTON OUTDOOR CLUB FALL HIKES 2010 SCHEDULE

Some of the best hiking of the year is in the fall season ,  so come out and enjoy great scenery and company. We have one more bus hike planned to take a look at the new and improved waterfront trail in Pickering and Rouge Hill on Oct 3rd.

Earlier in the year we were envious of the superb Seaton Trail on the East side of Toronto. The waterfront trail has had a lot of money spent on it from Scarborough to Oshawa in recent years and perhaps on this side of greater Toronto we should be doing more to provide convenient recreation for our citizens.

The jetboat hike to Niagara on the Lake on July3rd was a great success again this year. The water thrills were even better because it was much warmer than our June outing in 2009. Maybe we should make this an annual event?

Our perennial favorite Killarney is on again this year Sept 17th to 19th.    If you haven’t been or it’s a long time since you’ve been to this wonderful area I urge you to sign up. We are probably going to give it a rest for a year or two to allow us to go somewhere else in this popular timeslot (Finger Lakes?).

Hong Kong Oct 23rd to Nov 3rd is full at the moment .

New Zealand March 26th to April 16th 2011 has some places left, see the ad in this newsletter.

If you’ve been on a few of our trips and think you’d like to lead some bus hikes or longer trips please let us know. We are always looking for new people to refresh the program. You will find it both fun and challenging.
